“ Great chicken and cocktails. The service was attentive and our server was knowledgeable. Sitting outside at the sheltered front entry was the place to be, although the interior looked like a good second choice. ”
“ Top notch food and service, dark restaurant with great vibes from the workers. I ordered the pork shoulder and it was wonderful. Just pulled right apart and fell right in my mouth. The sauce that was with it was very good and light. We ordered the fried okra with jalapeno aioli sauce was great with the hot sauce they have. We also orders the Mac and cheese that was wonderful also great taste and texture. The chef hooked us up with Fried green tomatoes wraith a tartar sauce in sprouts on top. My friend got the chicken and waffles looks great the chicken was fluffy and fell apart just great. Sat right by the kitchen and got to see all the action and how well flowed the kitchen is. ”
“ Great for hosting your next Brunch get together. Reasonably priced mimosas and equally pleasant options for dining indoors and out. The French toast was delicious with a perfect Amount of glazing. Our server couldnt have been better ”
“ This is by far my favorite place to eat in SF. We opened our meal with the fried okra with jalapeno aioli. Every time I eat here I feel like Im eating someones grandmas home cooked meal. Not only can you taste the love that is clearly added liberally to each dish, but also the range of flavors that keep your tastebuds vibrantly in a catchy rhythm. The sweet tea brined pork chops were cooked perfectly. They were juicy and their sweetness intensified the flavor of the cannellini bean hoppin john and kale. My mouth still feels like the star of an academy award winning rom com. They even accommodated our picky eater by serving plain pasta so thankful. I also had their Sweet Low Down and Okey Dokey Artichokie cocktails. Both were exceptional and neither too citrus forward. They were mixed perfectly. Always, always recommend the beignets. Excellent food, excellent service. Always looking forward to going back. ”
“ Got brunch here with a friend. We got ciders with rum, gumbo, bourbon french toast, and chicken and waffles. All of them were excellent. The vibe was cozy and the service was great. Overall I highly recommend. That said, it can get busy, and if wed have known it was going to take us 30 minutes to be seated at the bar, we would have gotten a reservation instead of walkin. Ill remember that next time. ”
“ Laid back eatery specialized in southern U.S. style food. My mixed salad was delicious and the poached eggs looked good too. Corn bread is served as tiny muffins with rosemary honey delicious. They serve fried pickles too but only at dinner time. ”
“ We came here for a weekend brunch. I like the signs they put in the store to show the owners character. The staffs were friendly to us and give us a bunch of recommendations I dont eat southern food too much but it is quite decent. ”
“ First time here and will definitely come back! The food was AMAZING! ordered the Dr. Pepper braised short rib with grits and collard greens, and also the sweet tea braised pork chop with navy bean rice and cauliflowerini. Recommend both! Had the sweet tea that was sweetened with agave, delicious! The fried pickles are a must along with the beignets! The vibe was adorable. Definitely gives the southern feels and mood! Service was 5 stars all around!!!! ”
